Freezing your card instantly stops all new purchases. It's a good first step if your card is lost, you notice suspicious activity, or you just want extra control.

To freeze:

  1. Open the Tilt app and go to the Credit Card tab.

  2. Tap Freeze card.

  3. Confirm to freeze.

  4. Your card is immediately locked.

To unfreeze:

  1. Go back to the Credit Card tab.

  2. Tap Unfreeze card.

  3. Confirm — your card is ready to use again right away.

If your card was lost or stolen: Freezing is a good temporary measure, but we recommend requesting a replacement card so your card number can be changed.
